Socks. Not a new problem, just hadn't heard about it for a while. Wishfully thought it was over, thought we could be normal. Boy, was I wrong. Why the lull in sock drama, why is it back to haunt me? I believe that when the uniform shorts became a non-option, October 11th to be exact, we began getting very unhappy about the dressing routine in general. We historically do not like pants or "collars" either so I suppose this was just brewing within...and here we are...wearing all of the fashion-don'ts every single day.
What to do??? Well, he has approximately 50+ pairs of socks, different brands, colors, sizes, fabrics. Sometimes they just don't "feel right". Why we can't calmly say "Mommy, these don't feel right" is beyond me. I have certainly never talked to him in this floor flailing fashion so I'm not sure where we got this idea.
So for now, I suppose we will begin the bedtime routine perhaps 10 minutes earlier so that we have time to try our socks on for the next day & have the ones that "feel right" laid out. Lord help me if something should happen in the night to change that feeling...
I really do love this kid though...he's lucky he's cute, I understand why people become alcoholics with vodka in their water bottles, God Bless Saturdays and Sundays. That's all I have to say.
